ST. PAUL, MN –
December 6, 2001
– Hypertension Diagnostics, Inc. (NASDAQ SmallCap: HDII) announced today
that a detailed article describing its primary product, the CVProfilor®
DO-2020 CardioVascular Profiling System, is featured in the November
2001 issue of the Disease Management Advisor publication. The Disease
Management Advisor is a medical newsletter that presents insightful
information and practical tools to health care providers nationwide.
Approximately 2,000 copies of this publication were distributed, with
the CVProfilor® featured as a new procedure that signals risk
of cardiovascular disease at an earlier stage. |

The article states that, “the procedure is simple enough that some experts
suggest it could ultimately revolutionize the way providers risk-assess
their patients for cardiovascular disease, making it more possible than
ever to short-circuit the course of cardiovascular disease before it has
the chance to do damage.” Jay N. Cohn, M.D., Professor of Medicine,
Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota explains, “If you
look at patients who have had a heart attack, more than half of them had
normal blood pressure readings and more than half had normal cholesterol.
So, if you just sit and wait for cholesterol to be elevated or for blood
pressure to be elevated, you are going to miss more than half of the
people who are destined to have a heart attack.” CVProfilor is a registered trademark of Hypertension Diagnostics, Inc. Investor Relations: Jens Dalsgaard and Tony Altavilla, Return
