CVProfilor® System Drew Sizeable Attention at American College of Cardiology Conference

ST. PAUL, MNApril 16, 2002 – Hypertension Diagnostics, Inc. (NASDAQ SmallCap: HDII), announced today that more than 500 physicians and health care professionals received a personalized CVProfile™ Report during this year’s 51st Annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) meeting held in Atlanta, Georgia on March 17-19, 2002, courtesy of Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation, a division of Norvartis International AG, Basel, Switzerland, a major multi-national pharmaceutical firm.

Greg H. Guettler, President of Hypertension Diagnostics said, “Due to the growing medical interest in arterial elasticity, the CVProfilor® DO-2020 and methods with which to improve arterial elasticity, Novartis Pharmaceuticals retained HDI to provide CVProfile™ Reports to visitors in their booth at the American College of Cardiology meeting in Atlanta, Georgia. The result was that more than 500 individuals received a personalized CVProfile™ Report giving them new information on the health status of their blood vessels.” Current scientific studies indicate that some cardiovascular drugs improve arterial elasticity.
